Our senior today is from Foothill High School. We used our new locker set with him as well as did some things outside around the studio. Since our parking lot and surrounding area has recently been renovated and landscaped, we have had so many new places to shoot right here. Nice for the guys who don’t want a long session, but still want some stuff outside. Here’s a few of his photos.

Today’s senior comes from Enterprise High. We did an indoor and outdoor session with her and ended it in the lake. (Of course this is before the temperture started changing!)

About a month ago, we photographed this Willows High senior in Chico. He had so many activities, the racetrack for his car, some fields for his hunting and downtown made for perfect backdrops for this senior’s interests. Here’s just a small snippet from his session. Thanks guys, we had a blast!

Today’s senior is from Enterprise High. She had a great drumset, but didn’t want to tear it all down to bring to the studio, so we shot this in her living room, then went to their property to photograph her with her horse and some other cool things.

Okay so I promised I would start posting at least 1 session a day to try to get everyone online so here we go. This senior guy is from Anderson High. He did a full outdoor session, more of the urban architectural look. Here are a few photos from his session.

After working 6 weeks in a row with 60-70 hour weeks plus our kids football and gymnastics, we needed a break. Tommy and I just got back this morning from 2 wonderful nights alone without kids up in McCloud. We enjoyed the Shasta Sunset Dinner Train on Friday night, then spent Saturday just visiting the local shops and art galleries in Mount Shasta. We go up there all the time, but it’s always to photograph someone so it was so nice to just enjoy the scenery without working! The Dinner train was wonderful, the food was excellent (especially the custom made turtle cheesecake we had for desert!). I recommend it to anyone wanting a nice romatic evening out. The photo below is from their website, we didn’t even bring our camera with us. Sometimes it’s nice to leave the world behind 
So today, we are back in the studio shooting more seniors and beginning our familes, we are fully refreshed and I am finally done with all the yearbook photo editing so keep your eyes out because I will be updating the blog daily with all our seniors from the past 2 months!!.

No words can explain what a whirlwind these last few weeks have been. Wow. We have been so blessed with such incredible clients and business. I have not had 1 iota of time to post anything and I am sooo sorry for everyone waiting to be online. This week is the final deadline for Enterprise and Anderson and with Shasta and Foothill now behind us, we can focus on Central Valley and West Valley. Here’s a great Anderson Senior who’s sister we did last year. Tom wanted to do something different with him to show off his basketball skills so this is what he came up with. I personally think it’s very cool . Off to a busy weekend of families and seniors!

Everyone asks where we go for our on location shoots. We have so many places to choose from when you book your session, but we are also open to any ideas you may have. This Anderson senior had a beautiful pool and waterfall in her backyard and wanted her session done at her home. It’s amazing what Tom can come up with in people’s backyards! We’ve done probably about 8 sessiosn this last month alone at people’s houses. Here’s one of my favorite pool shots from her session a few weeks back.

I have to say the most rewarding type of photography for me personally is special needs kids. The 3 teens below; the red head then the set of twins below her; all have different degrees of special needs and all 3 of them were such wonderful kids to work with. The parents of the red head told us that they are never able to capture her smile in this way and Tom was able to get it with only 10 shots!! And the twins below, the parents told us on the twin on the right, her photo last year someone was actually holding her head up in the picture. It takes time and patience sometimes to get that perfect shot, but it is worth waiting for! Do you have a special needs child or know someone who does? CRAZY is the one word I can say to describe our lives at the moment. The height of senior portrait season is upon us, yearbook deadlines and coming and going and appointments are very close to being gone. I will be trying to update the blog every few days, but getting orders out and yearbook photos edited for the deadlines is our top priority so those of you anxious to see your photos on here, they will appear, I promise, just give us time
Another crazy busy weekend coming up, a total of 13 sessions packed between tommorrow and Sunday, thank God for Mondays off!! Enjoy your weekend, I may be putting up a few more seniors in between proofings today and this weekend.

Little Xander has been so much fun to watch grow up. This was his final session at 1 year of age. His dad brought this cool prop so we took him outside our studio to make it different and have some fun!! Thanks guys for trusting us with your wonderful son!

Okay, so we have about 40 or so senior sessions that we are behind on posting so those of you waiting to be on here, please be patient, we are trying to post a few a day so you don’t get lost at the bottom of the blog. Here’s another great senior, this was one of our Portland seniors. After our outdoor timewith them, we set up a mobile studio in their garages to get some more formal shots. I sure do miss the 70 degree weather we had when we were there a few weeks back!!
