Whew! Ok, it has taken us a *while* to get these girls together… We planned for a “Snow Shoot” up in the mountains when the snow first dusted Shasta County. Yeah, that was a while ago. Then, we had to reschedule. Then, someone got sick. Then, someone was out of town. Then, someone else got sick. Then, it rained really hard and it was super bad weather. Then, we finally did it! Then, the memory card failed. Oh. Em. Gee. Are you kidding me? Finally, today was the day. The stars aligned and my two funny, beautiful, sweet, wonderful girls came to play in the studio. We were going to go outside, because everything was green and blooming and the weather was holding (it is going to POUR tonight)…. but then we decided to stay in the studio and play with all the different sets we have in the camera room. We never did make it outside. Hmmmm. Why didn’t we do this in the first place? )
Ok, I’m not gonna lie… I love my birthday. I love my birthday weekend. I love my birthday week. I love my birthday month! And I definitely LOVE the number 22! So, I’m feeling extra happy today! One month to go, and it’ll be MY day! Mine all mine!
I’m not sure what it is that makes me love my birthday so much. Is it the presents? The balloons? The candles? Or, more likely than not, it’s the cake. ) It’s also a day I celebrate being old. I haven’t always taken the best care of my skin. But I gotta tell ya, it’s the only skin I’ve got, and I love it. It’s blotchy and dry and a little wrinkly and squidgey around the edges. And let’s not even get into how many freckles there are! But it’s mine and I’ve earned every mark, line, and squiggle. The smile lines are my favorite, although now I’m seeing a lot of my “Oh My” lines on my forehead. Clearly, I’m surprised more than I think I am! ;o)
So – today’s just a day I enjoy… I kick off my birthday celebrations – celebrating me and how great I am.
My hope for you is that you get to love you as much as I love me!
Have a great day out there, y’all!

Here is a quick, funny little pic of me & Ethan. I handed the camera to mom real quick and we were in some really funky sunlight. So, I probably ended up making Ethan look a little funny – the light is so bright on his nose! Sorry, Ethan!!! Anyway, he was a hoot to work with and I just love his mom & gramma…. really great people! And I just have one thing to say……. GOOSE POOP!!!!! ;o)
Did you know you can purchase Copyright Free Collections of your Senior Portraits? Pretty cool, huh? What does that mean, you ask? That means you own the digital images you choose – you can post them online, print them as big as you want, and print as many times as you want! Pretty cool, right? And – if you order a 24-Pose Collection, we create a custom CD Tin with one of your images. Niiiiiice……. Call us at 530.223.5456 or book your appointment online to get started!
I met Sam and her sister, Marissa, when they came in for a consultation with their Gramma a few months ago. They’re beautiful girls, but it’s their personality & enthusiasm that won me over… After our full session in the studio and out at Caldwell Park – we became BFF’s! ) LOL I know I’m an old lady (in comparison) but the 3 of us just had a great time during their session. They love Disney almost as much as my hubby and I do (Lou has a tattoo of Mickey on his right calf). And after a thoroughly enjoyable encounter with 2 bicyclists, I’m sure we’ll be friends forever!!! ;o) Oh, and they graciously accepted our request to be Foothill HS models this year!!! We are really looking forward to working more with them throughout the year…. Thanks, Sam & Marissa!
